Grate your zuccini or courgette
Chop your corinader
Heat up a cup of frozen vegetables and add to the mix.
Or you can use any left over vegetable that have been chopped up.
Add your grated and chopped food from before.
You could add some finely sliced cabbage or fennel.
Add your tuna too, I forgot to take a photo of that.
Add a good tablespoon of Worchester Sauce
Sneak in a little paprika or whatever spice blows your hair back.
Squeeze of lemon
and your filling is finished
drain your boiled potatoes and add some more butter
Mash away
Once the lumps have been mashed out of the patotoe and I’ve added some milk,
I then add one egg.
If you have issues with eggs in mash potatoes, don’t do it.
Now I am messing with you cause I know there will be at one person who reads this blog going NO!
My girlfriend who shall remain nameless was horrified to learn that I put egg in my potato mash, she never really fully recovered. It was either that or the chicken story.
use about half of your potatoe to line your dish
and then add a heap of grated cheese.
I forgot to take a photo of the cheese on the bottom
pour your mix into your dish
can you see the cheese on the bottom
you can see the cheese here
smooth out the filling and make sure you have the oven on
Final taste test
Put the rest of the mashed potatoe ontop of the mix
cover the top with grated cheese
pop in the oven for 1 hour
My son has an allergy to fresh seafood and shellfish and anaphylaxis to nuts.
When I asked his Allergy Specialist how could my son get Omega 3 from food, he suggested tinned tuna because the processes and cooking of the fish, makes it safer to eat.
My son’s reaction to eating this fish pie is very, very mild and compared to severe reactions to eating freshly fish and even fries cooked in the same oil as fresh fish.
This is definately a family favourite.
