We have started our extended holiday at Tweed Heads. My goal was to drive from the bottom of Queensland, head north up the east coast of Australia in my home state of Queensland and hopefully we would reach the very tip of Cape York.
I wanted to start at Tweed Heads because it straddles the boarder between Queensland and New South Wales.
Additionally, we have tickets to the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, at the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads Caravan Park was the closest accommodation I could find.
The caravan park we booked into is a Big 4 and charged $200 per night with a minimum of, three-night booking. Which is outrageous!
For this long weekend Miss P could have a friend stay, which was lovely company for her. Plus one of our family friends travelled down to spend a day with us, hanging out at the resort and enjoying the facilities.
