Smith Family Toy & Book Appeal

Over 40 presents given

During the lead up to our work Christmas Party, the social committee, which I am a part of, came up with a plan for staff to bring in a toy or book for the Smith Family Christmas Appeal.

We also wanted to have a raffle with items donated from shops and business that our staff frequent and from our company suppliers.

Originally we were going to use that money towards our Christmas Party but somewhere along the many discussions it was decided that we would donate that money to The Smith Family too.

We canvassed many shops and after many rejections, in the end we had $600 worth of products and vouchers. These we raffled off at $5 per ticket and you also received a ticket per toy/book you donated.

We raised $540 and donated 43 presents to The Smith Family Toy & Book Appeal. To say that I am proud of this effort is an understatement.

And I would like to say thank you to the wonderful people I work with and our following business who donated.
