Whydiss

I love visiting friends and learning their homemade remedies. The other day I visited a girlfriend and she taught me how to make soap.

We made two batches and chatted about love, life and raising children solo.

We are planning another big day of soap making, where we hope to make heaps for xmas presents.

I love her pot belly stove!

Here are my little beauties. I have to wait 4 weeks for them to cure before trying them out.

The method that my wonderful friend uses is cold press, based on extra virgin olive oil and essential oils.

Loved the slow pace of soap making, there is a danger element too due to the caustic soda but I can’t wait to do it again.  Next time I will take more pictures and hopefully post a tutorial.
