Sunday’s in Toowoomba

I love Sunday’s and today was going to be a cracker. We were going up to Toowoomba to visit with Pa.

There is a set pattern to our visits and the children and I have the routine down pat.

We love the crisp cool air of the country and that it only takes 15 minutes to drive from one side of the city to the other.

It has been 4 years since the children and I have lived in Toowoomba and yet still have many friends whom we stop by for a play date.

There is a special bond between grandparents and their grandchildren which I feel is important to a child’s self esteem and sense of who they are.

Grandparents are an important of childhood.

In Pa’s kitchen we have to improvise and used a casserole dish to mix us a Betty Crocker Chocolate Cake.  This is the first time I have used a cake mix in 4 years.  Plus it is another photo opportunity for Pa.
Don’t ya love the plastic table cloth!  Warms my heart to see empty plates and yes I forgot to take a before photo of my lasagna.
